Redesign of Blocktrade mobile applications to unblock growth

Challenge: fundraising blocked

Back in 2021, Blocktrade’s mobile apps were in rough shape - think one-star reviews, endless support tickets, and users dropping off faster than you can say “crypto.” Management was clear: fix mobile UX or no fundraising.

Goal & solution:

  • UX Audit & reimagine web. We dove into their web portal first - streamlining flows, cleaning up navigation, and eliminating duplicates and dead stops where users were getting stuck.
  • iOS App redesign in 45 days. Picture us huddled over Figma at 2 AM, reimagining the Home, Trade, Activity, Account, and Settings from scratch. Then we teamed up with devs for the next 60 days to bring it to life.
  • Android via React Native. With a solid responsive web design already in place, devs simply adapted it for React Native while we added mobile-only bits like PIN views and system settings.

What happened next:

  • App Store rating shot straight to 5.0 and has stayed there.
  • Mobile retention jumped 70% and ****users actually stick around.
  • NPS climbed to 96–98%, people loved it.
  • And yes, those shiny new apps were solid arguments in raising €5.6M for the BTEX token sale.
