Coming from Estonia, Minterest is a decentralized lending protocol that offers users the highest long-term yields in DeFi. After capturing fees, Minterest redistributes these as rewards to users who participate in governance.

Users can lend, borrow, or stake on Minterest to earn rewards, access liquidity, and participate in governance.

Blockers for Growth

The outdated homepage failed to convey the feeling of a crypto product to the audience. New visitors couldn’t understand the platform’s capabilities, nor how lending, borrowing, and staking actually work the Minterest way. More advanced users didn’t receive any explanation as to why they should choose Minterest over other yield generation platforms.

TLTR

The underperforming homepage of the Minterest website contributed to low user acquisition and activation, effectively reducing the conversion of marketing efforts.

Solution

We aimed to clearly communicate that Minterest is a crypto product focused on yield generation. Addressed this with dynamic, growing stacks of coins in the hero section, so they visually communicate the concept of increased yield.

One picture to say it all

Further down the page, we explained the meaning behind the stacks of coins, breaking down each layer. To clarify the complex mechanics of the Minterest protocol, we’ve added custom illustrations that demonstrate how it provides higher APY and lower APR. Visuals, paired with feature descriptions, simplified the onboarding process for DeFi beginners and ensured more experienced users engaged.

Running Fintech on trust

The old website struggled to establish trust, a critical factor for crypto products, especially in DeFi. To fix this, we added dedicated sections showcasing security measures, publicly available audit reports, investor portfolios, partner lists, community engagement statistics, and support channels. All this leaves no room for doubt about Minterest’s credibility and reliability.
